Fisher Meredith Solicitors Website
New website for leading London law firm
We have just completed an overhaul of the company's website and are currently engaged in a full-blown rebrand project which will also roll out over the next few months.
Fisher Meredith Solicitors offer a wide range of professional services to both personal and business clients. Historically these have been accessed via highly skilled staff, resulting in a swift and efficient delivery of information and advice.
We realised that the exchange of information and brand interaction that occurs offline should – and could – be replicated in an online environment. To this affect, we have reengineered the website's structure, navigation and informational hierarchy; allowing users a more intuitive and meaningful experience. The addition of video media and cross-referenced contacts, free information and fact sheets means this experience is also richer and ultimately more relevant to the end user.
The website is already receiving more traffic and is achieving a significantly improved bounce rate.
The full project will feature in our portfolio section later, but for now you can view the website itself at www.fishermeredith.co.uk

BNPP IP Annual Event at Tate Britain 2011
BNP Paribas Investment Partners' Annual Event 2011 at Tate Britain
BNP Paribas recently celebrated their annual event at Tate Britain, and we at Ascend thought it was only fair to create a unique invitation and interactive showpiece for a night within such grand settings.
Guests were invited to play their part in the evening by hanging their own individual invitation (of which 240 were sent out previously) to a large canvas - the final result creating a bespoke piece of artwork and revealing a core BNP Paribas brand message on the night. Here's the video showing things come together on the night...
August updates
Another lazy update...
BNP Paribas
We have been commissioned to produce the concept and design for the invitations and management of the BNP Paribas Annual Event at the Tate Britain. Given the artistic nature of the venue we have designed a suitably artistic solution. Updates to follow late September.

May updates
What a busy month...
New blood:
We are delighted to announce the arrival of our new designer Matt. After a long interview process we have finally found the man for the job, and we like to think he has found a home here at Ascend.
Hair salon rebrand:
We have been commissioned to rebrand Francesco Picardi Hair Salons – an organic / natural products based independent hair salon chain in London. Early stages but visuals are not far away.
TORI Global IT consulting and resourcing:
Having worked in the world of recruitment for some time now, helping companies such as Green Park, Canary Wharf and City and NBI, we have recently been commissioned to undertake another exciting brand and website project for TORI Global. The project focuses on structuring the company’s core practice offerings and addressing top-level core brand issues such as visual and literal brand messaging and tone of voice. This will also roll out into a range of communications materials including HTML emails and printed sales packs and product sheets etc.
Not too close for comfort:
We have also been chosen to complete a series of brochures for The Close Care Home (I did say it's been a busy month...!) – a luxury care and retirement home set in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. The name of the home lends itself perfectly to a concept based around "Close to..." (nature, luxury, home etc...), which we have used as a structural idea for the information in the brochures.
And finally...
We have just completed a branding project for Meet The Real Me, an online recruitment company specialising in online video CVs. We have packaged their core offering as en “e-me”. With a nod towards the world of social networking, we have developed a logo that reflects that online comms feel and also conveys the USPs of their service with its video shaped speech bubble (we call it a “v-bubble”). The logo is below but the full project will be appearing in our branding section soon.

Follow my lead...
Ascend commissioned to brand new business gurus Follow My Lead...
We are currently working on an exciting new brand for Follow My Lead. Specialists in new business generation, we wanted to go for an upbeat, modern and positive, benefits-led feel (is that waffle?!!) Full project details will be available in the branding section soon.

Sotheby's Institute of Art goes online
Flash Banners for Online Learning Campaign
We have created a series of flash banners to promote Sotheby's Institute of Art Online Courses. The campaign focuses on inviting the view to actively get involved and generates intrigue by posing topical questions such as "Creative visionary or pop sensation?", "Artisic endeavour, or article of commerce?" etc with accompanying images from Andy Warhol, to Damien Hirst, to Jeff Koons.
We have also designed and developed a series of campaign landing pages which will be live soon.

NBI new logo design
Values-led recruiting firm employ Ascend for rebrand
We have just completed a rebrand for London based NBI recruiting. The logo is born out of the company's four values of honesty, humour, humility and humanity - represented by the 4 colours in the logo, coming together to form the main NBI colour.
We are also developing a new website and set of corporate stationery.

They have commissioned Ascend to create a range of sales and marketing materials including a 72 page training courses brochure. Adams Law gets flashy...
Polish facing animated web banner for Adams Law
We have created a flash banner for Adams law, focused on helping small Polish companies enter the large UK market. The annimation focuses on a small part of the UK flag, which when zoomed in looks like the Polish flag. The animation then zooms out to reveal the full UK flag.
This is part of a wider campaign Ascend are helping Adams Law with to promote their Polish-speaking paralegal team. We are just finishing off an new HTML email on a related theme so will post that when finished.
HOB Salons Bridal Services Promotion
Running rings around the competition...
HOB Salons apporached us loooking for a creative concept to promote thier range of bridal services. We took the "O" from the HOB logo and created a graphic device that forms two wedding rings - one highlighted in HOB silver. A simple idea that has a great visual impact and states that using HOB to prepare you for your wedding really adds that special difference that all brides are looking for on their big day.
You can see more recent work for HOB Salons by clicking here.
Adams Law
Ascend appointed by Adams Law
As part of a Polish-facing promotion, we have designed an HTML email for Adams Law, based in East and West London. The E-marketing promotes their native Polish-speaking paralegal staff, something of a unique offering within the London market. We achieved an excellent open and website click-through rate, directly resulting in two new instructions for the firm. Alex Pierre-Traves, marketing Manager of Adams Law commented: "...We have received four new instructions from new clients directly as a result of this campaign – that, to me, is positive proof of money well spent."

About Face
What type are you?
Our resident photographer Laurence Dutton was playing around with some old wooden letter press blocks when we managed to get hold of them for a few minutes (what designer can resist?!)

HOB Salons Education Brochure
HOB Salons Education Brochure
Finally completed the Education brochure for HOB and we are so pleased with the result! The 3 different stocks used and silver foiled logo really set this piece of collateral apart from the competition.
Meet the Real Me
How do you show potential employers the 'real you'?
The brilliant Meet the Real Me service offers online video CVs to graduates to help them get in front of potential employers. In addition to being a more dynamic medium than a traditional written CV, it also manages to deal with issues of diversity in the workplace, such as race, language, age, gender etc. alowing the individual's real personality to be seen and heard.
The creative opposite was part of an advertising campaign promoting the service and focuses on the concept of an employer building up an inaccurate picture of a prospective employee.
We are currently working on a full set of printed and digital collateral so shall be posting that once finished.
Here hair here...
Ascend contracted by HOB Salons
We have been commissioned by the hugely respected HOB Salons to help with their brand refresh and a new range of printed collateral. Boasting awards such as ‘British Hairdresser of the Year’ it seems Ascend could end up hobnobbing with the stars! Right, where’s my hair spray?! Updates to come.
